Writing a book! A good one, indeed. It is the way you put forth your emotions and you’re able to articulate your thoughts into words. A writer imagines and writes the book and the reader read reads it, whereas, a profound writer imagines it, writes it, and transports their reader into his imagination. However, it is not necessary that for doing so you need to write in metaphors or hyperboles! Simple language with a strong narrative has enough power to instill a stir in the readers’ minds.
But the question is how?
How to write something that interests readers?
Well, for starters, write something that interests you.
CREATE OUT OF LOVE
The first and foremost rule is to fall in love with your own work. That doesn’t mean overlooking your flaws and even though you are not putting your hundred percent, you’re giving yourself a pat. No! Critique your work, and make it better, but don’t demean your work. Until you love your brainchild, no one else will.
The second is READ!
READ TO WRITE
The more you read the more you’ll get open to ideas on how to build a narrative, how to build characters, and how to write a climax. A good book will open all your senses and you’ll be able to write better. Good books seep right into your soul and get absorbed in you. And the moment you start writing your own book, it slowly comes forth and makes your work shine. So read as much as you can!
FOCUS ON GROWTH NOT PERFECTION
Make drafts. The first draft of your work will always be a rough draft. It will just be a dump yard for all your thoughts. But hey, don’t get disheartened after seeing it. It is only the first step. Make a second draft and write more passionately and deeply this time. Feel all your thoughts again and write. This time your draft will be way better than the first one. Now, edit. Yes, re-read and edit your book. And now once you’re satisfied with your work, it’s ready to go the publisher’s desk!
